Bad Gandersheim plant produces 10,000 customer-specific disc motors in a year

Nuremberg/Bad Gandersheim. The Baumüller plant in Bad Gandersheim has produced 10,000 DC disc motors for a new customer in just 12 months. And when you consider the fact that the motors were specially developed and designed for this particular customer, this feat becomes even more remarkable. By way of commemoration, motor number 10,000 was delivered at the beginning of November in the customer’s corporate colors, and it will now go on permanent display at their premises.

Plans are also in place to continue to produce the same volume of motors in the coming years. It is already clear that the Bad Gandersheim workers tailored their technical designs precisely to the customer’s requirements for this project. Disc motors are primarily distinguished from standard DC motors by their flat design and are used in a range of industrial applications, as well as for transporting people in stairlifts. As servo motors it is their job to continuously move a load in both directions at low and high speeds. The Baumüller motors produced in Bad Gandersheim stand out from the crowd due to their extremely low space requirement and very high degree of efficiency.
