Baumüller Group establishes subsidiary in India
Nuremberg. Growth in the Baumüller Group: with Baumuller
India, the specialist for automation and drive solutions has
significantly expanded the activities of its joint venture
started in 1997, and in the process is continuing the strategic
development of the group in Asia. This step will enable the
Baumüller Group with 40 locations worldwide to further
develop the Indian market and to extend its existing customer
relationships and know-how.
Baumuller India, headquartered in the machine building center
of Pune, will take advantage of its experience gathered to
date in order to strengthen its presence in the Indian market
and to continue its long-standing customer relationships.
According to Jochen Loy, General Manager of Baumüller
Holding GmbH & Co.: “For years the Asian market
has recorded continuously high growth levels, and it continues
to show a promising future. With this decision, Baumüller
is accompanying its international customers on the path to
Asia while also developing the local market on its own behalf.
The establishment of the Baumuller India subsidiary is an
important step in this process.”
In close cooperation with long-standing employees of on-site
partners, customers will be actively approached in order to
develop automation and system solutions tailored to their
respective needs. “Baumuller India will take advantage
of the Baumüller Group’s many years of experience
and know-how in automation and drives as well as service and
repair to establish itself strategically as a solution provider
in the Indian market,“ stated Thomas Wittek, Sales Director
for Baumuller India.
