Baumüller creates a family-friendly working environment
Nuremberg, Germany. 67% of all mothers in Germany are working mothers, according to a representative survey by the Institut für Demoskopie (Public Opinion Poll Institute) in Allensbach. In comparison, this number was 47% in 1980. This motivated automation and drive technology specialist Baumüller to create an environment in which career and family can meld more easily by following a family-oriented personnel policy.
An ever increasing number of women in the state of Bavaria are facing the challenge of melding career and family with one other. To support their undertaking and arrange a family-friendly working environment, Baumüller follows a family-friendly personnel policy that is geared toward the needs of employees while taking the economic aspects of the company into account as well.
Flextime models and mobile office support
Flexible, need-based working-hour models enable staggered part time work both while studying and after a degree is obtained, for example. The company also attaches importance to mobile and flexible arrangement of the working location: At Baumüller, both alternating telecommuting and mobile office support are possible. Both increase the level of "time freedom" of employees and the international competitiveness of our company.
Contact care during maternity leave
Contact care for employees during maternity leave and a reentry program for the period after returning from leave make it easier to ease back into the workplace and also increase motivation and identification with the company. This makes it possible to win over qualified employees for the company and keep them there even in times when finding good staff is difficult, for example.
