Baumüller Dravinja is expanding to stainless
steel and aluminium manufacturing
Nuremberg. From sheet metal part to complete wired control
cabinet, Baumüller has been providing customized sheet
metal and wiring solutions for years. The Baumüller Group
has now expanded its product portfolio and will increasingly
produce solutions based on stainless steel and aluminum, in
addition to sheet metal, at its production plant in Slovenske
Konjice. These solutions are used, in particular, in medical
engineering and the food and beverage industry.
As a general rule, control cabinets, enclosures, and cover
sheets used on industrial machines and equipment are made
from sheet metal. However, some industries, such as the medical
industry and food and beverage industry, have especially stringent
material requirements for hygiene or durability reasons. Even
powder-coated sheet metal cannot meet these requirements.
In order to satisfy these industries, Baumüller Dravinja
has expanded to produce control cabinet and enclosure solutions
made of stainless steel and aluminum. These metals accommodate
the stringent hygiene specifications especially well, as their
surface properties facilitate cleaning, thus allowing them
to be used in a sterile production environment. In addition,
aluminum and stainless steel are already proven as a cleaner
solution in the production process: compared to sheet metal,
the end product can be manufactured without additional surface
treatment.
Quality from one source
Cost-effective solutions are always developed jointly with
the customer – whether it is a control cabinet, control
panel, or machine cover. For switchgear, the electrical design
is also included. In addition, control cabinets configured
and manufactured by Baumüller have the CE mark as well
as a manufacturer’s declaration of conformity. For this
purpose, every control cabinet is tested according to relevant
national or international standards or according to customer
specifications prior to delivery. With certification according
to DIN EN 9001:2000, Baumüller guarantees top quality,
from the planning stage to assembly and installation.
