New General Manager for Baumüller China – Nr. 7/2011 (28.7.2011)

Nuremberg. The Baumüller subsidiary in China, Baumüller Automation Equipment Trading, has augmented its management team since the 1st of July. Stefan Krahn is now responsible for the Sales and Technology functions.

"We want to become even more international" is the goal that Norbert Scholz, General Manager for Sales and Technology at Baumüller Nürnberg GmbH set last year when he made the management duo of Andreas Baumüller (Spokesman of the Board) and Jochen Loy (CFO) up to a trio.

Baumüller has drawn closer to this goal with further large steps, for Baumüller Shanghai in China has had an expanded management team since the beginning of July. In addition to Dr. Jianguo Xu, Stefan Krahn is forcefully developing the internationalization strategy in the Asian region for the subsidiary company. "I have set myself big goals: a product alignment and its associated product innovations for the Asian market, with the focus on maximum energy efficiency", said Krahn.

The sector and the Asian market are not new territory for Stefan Krahn. Previously the 45-year-old spent over two decades in the field of machine and installation construction in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
