b maXX 1000 frequency converter

The b maXX 1000 is a frequency converter that provides for the highly efficient (vector) control of standard motors in three output gradations and in the power range 0.2 kW to 11 kW. In designing the b maXX 1000, Baumüller has focused on providing a range that is consistently easy to use.

b maXX 3000 - servo controllers up to 14 kW

The servo controller b maXX 3400 was designed for small output up to approx. 10 kW. Baumüller offers a complete system for small output, with the new series of DSD dynamic servomotors in frame sizes 28 to 100 and the linear motors.

b maXX 4000 - the modular servo controller

b maXX has up to 11 drawers for plug-in modules and can therefore be individually adapted for special automation tasks. Special plug-in modules interface b maXX, including interface adaptors for most standard bus systems. The plug-in b maXX-drivePLC module provides integrated intelligent control.

b maXX 5000 – side-by-side, flexible, and energy efficient servo converter

The new b maXX 5000 side-by-side converter generation has an integrated Drive Connect- System: individual modules can be easily added or removed without having to break up the entire drive group. The standard-setting control quality is maintained at all times.

With a typical cycle time of 100 microseconds for 1000 lines of STL, the b maXX-drivePLC is one of the world’s fastest PLC’s in a drive and is therefore suitable for both comprehensive control tasks and demanding Motion Control tasks.

b maXX- safePLC: Integrated safety technology

Integrated safety technology ensures that technical failure, incorrect use or manipulation no longer pose a threat to the production process and safety of employees. In addition to increasing safety, the productivity of the system is also raised.

Software Tools

Reducing the complexity of the automation solution, simplifying software update and maintenance, significantly reducing the expenditure for software initialisation, update and maintenance, as well as extremely shortened time-to-market are the central requirements imposed upon the automation partners by the machine manufacturers.

The M-Drive is used for the digital control of drive systems. It is especially suitable for the use of individual - or direct drive systems with a large number of drives. For each drive or axle a M-Drive is required.
