A Donation to Benefit the Little Ones

In October of last year, Günter Baumüller, owner of the Baumüller Group, passed away after a brief severe illness. Instead of flowers, the Baumüller family asked for a donation to be made to the Children’s Department at Nürnberger Klinikum Süd. During his lifetime, Günter Baumüller placed great importance on the welfare of children and youth. Flexibility Through Decentralized Drive Concepts

The path from central to decentralized offers many simplifications and also a compact and economic structure. Instead of being centrally located in the control cabinet, converters are located close to the motor or are mounted directly on it. The size of control cabinets is thus significantly reduced and in many cases can even be done away with entirely, which saves space and money.

Best product quality due to optimal controller performance

With the new DSH1 series, where “H” stands for high precision, the drive specialist Baumüller has created another derivative in its servo motor range. The latest product by the Nuremberg-based provider of drive and automation solutions impresses with a particularly low detent torque and thus achieves an extremely high control accuracy, especially in combination with the Baumüller drive technology.

Digital twin as an Engineering Service

Making machines and systems future-proof and ideal for applications requires time, experience and is an intensive engineering process. 7 Servopresse SimulationThe servo press was already simulated in advance and thus was optimally designed to the requirements of the mechanical engineer. The movement profile of the real servo press (shown on the left as a fair presenter) is almost identical to its digital twin, the simulated version (right). In addition to significantly shortened development times, the customer also benefits from a faster and easier commissioning In order to shorten the development time and to launch the functionally-reliable machine on the market as quickly as possible, software tools for simulation are offered, such as MapleSim and MATLAB/Simulink, as an engineering service.
